Thunderbird

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

As an intellectual who holds great regard for the Native American culture and heritage it is important to me to represent the iconic imagery that has been integrated into US heritage from such a powerful nation. I believe that the symbols so embraced by the old culture can evolve and be altered to exhibit a new world of ideology and icons for generations to come. Perhaps the most inspiring of symbols “the firebird” or “phoenix”, which is deeply rooted in ancient mythologies and civilizations globally, is the pinnacle of power and uprising for tribes nationally. I took this idea a bit further and created Thunderbird as an ode to not only the first nation but as a mark of strength and freedom for all who appreciate divine myth, societies, and a better way of life for all.

Chaos Theory : shoes from Journeys

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

I recently entered some designs into the RYZ challenge for Journey’s. Over 300 designs and a large slew of artist’s from all over the globe submitted designs. My design Chaos Theory, originally from my Hobo Eaters series, was chosen as 1 of 3 winning designs which will now be sold through Journey’s stores everywhere. The shoes are super rad slip ons and have a dynamic appeal for all ages. They give me a sense of nostalgia from the 80’s with their simple beach slip on style. Chaos Theory was a great choice as well for this with my crazy character along with the highly vibrant teal and pink color combos. More to come as RYZ and Journey’s unveils these new street kicks!

Space Brain º315

Colaborating with the Pacific NW’s finest clothing companies is what I do best. An up and coming line and new eco-concious apparel company º315 will be breaking ground this summer 2010. Consisting of local artists from Seattle and the NW area we are pumping out stylish tees that have a unique flavor that represents what we do best up in this corner of the States. All products from º315 are super high quality and the shirts are 100% bamboo that allows the skin to breathe and feel incredibly soft. Here is a glimpse of one of the designs by BeeryMethod for the company called Space Brain. Nothing quite like astronauts plugged into the audio dj turntables and planting the US flag on a massive brain. Visual sweetness and complexity with this 4 color design on super silky bamboo!

I had an amazing birthday with all my peeps last week. For all who don’t know, I am the definitive Pisces who was born right on the cusp of Aquarius. These two astrological signs traits seemingly intertwine to form my inner fiber, creative make-up, eclectic visions, wandering sense of freedom, meticulous account for detail, attraction to the dark and evil, and my laid back nature of person. I totally personify these water signs and find that with each year that passes these traits are engrained even more deeply into not only my soul but all of my art.

I find that connecting with so many individuals all across the board in many industries who simply enjoy what I do is the most gratifying aspect of my work. Whether connecting with a young artist, musician, or skater I hope I can always inspire and nurture the original creative qualities in all who I link up to. When working as an independent artist and consultant it is the journey through creating exceptional imagery for clients who respectively come back to give praise and seek future collaborative opportunities that keep me engaged and inspired.

Thanks to D Port and SkinnyBuddha for representing my hard work and offering good wishes on my birthday! Skinny Buddha family always!

Beery Birthday

This is just a huge shout out and enormous thank you to all my fans, fellow artists, friends, and family who have supported my all my goals and work. I couldn’t do it without you all…you are the best and I got nothing but hot lava love for you all…MAD THANKS!

Rocket Rocker – Nomadic Skateboard

Monday, March 1st, 2010

Here is my latest design for Nomadic Skateboards Seattle 2010 line. Originally titled Rocket Rocker (now Sky Rider) it was my inner ghost trying to be released that went into this killer deck design. Breezing though the air or carving out some pavement, this phantom is dropping the dynamite to explode into the skate shops near you. Available from Nomadic Skateboards and through various retailers in the Pacific Northwest.

I simply had to put in a submission for Threadless Loves contest Innovation. Innovation flows in and out of our world’s cities in a systematical flow. Like the circular system of our being information runs down the and out the web of overpasses and fast lanes into the grid of modelers and information architects. Thus feeds the reformation of an age of GI: Global Intelligence – Innovate • Create • Recalibrate
