In collaboration with several artists from the Goodjoe team I had the honor of creating a koi fish design for our Rise In Unity tees. Each of the participating artists created a koi, inspired from The Koi Legend, as a positive thought to send toward the people affected by the March 11 2011 tsunami. For this round of fundraising, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Rise Again Japan, a Bay Area organization which is helping to provide aid for those trying to survive this tragic event. Our goal is to raise another $1000 in our continued support for the people of Japan. Working with the DELI crew is always like a family reunion. These guys do it right when it comes to sporting the latest fly fashion. If your fortunate enough to be part of the fam they rep you right by bringing the best artwork from the NW stable of artists in the DELI Art Signature tees. Upon putting together the Legion of Doom show I’ve teamed up to offer my feathery hobo-eater character GURUDE. This eater was inspired by father time, ferrets, chicken suits, tar & feathers, and explicit street vagrants. Awesome 4 color print on super soft black tee with artist signature hand tags makes this rude guru dude pop right off the street. The bottom of his foot reads “SEATTLE 4 LIFE”. Stone Temple Pilots

My teenage years took place in the midst of the grunge deluge during the 90′s. Needless to say that the music of the time had an adverse affect on me then and a rippling effect on me now. STP was one of those emerging bands that although more L.A. had that Seattle sound of the time. They merged in with the likes of Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains quite effectively. Many o’boyhood memories occurred with the perpetuating soundtrack backdrop of Stone Temple Pilots and I still listen to their pop-refined ear medicine today. So when contacted through the band’s merchandising company to do some design work for the band I damn near blew a valve right outta my brain pan! I was like “hell yeah, what’s the direction?”. The band wanted something psychedelic and that was all I needed to hear. After sending them a few mock ups I decided to work out one of the psychedelic-posteresque concepts I had roaming through the gray matter. What you see below is a near finalized version of the Oracle design I began for the band.

Working with any band on covers, collaterals, and designs takes quite a bit of time. Not just on the creation aspect, but in just getting in touch and hearing back from such superstars. It took a while for them to finally get back with me about the design. It appears as though they may not be using this one on the merchandise as planned, but it was a hell of a lot of fun dishing out some psychedelic throw back material for one of my all time favorite rock bands!

I simply had to put in a submission for Threadless Loves contest Innovation. Innovation flows in and out of our world’s cities in a systematical flow. Like the circular system of our being information runs down the and out the web of overpasses and fast lanes into the grid of modelers and information architects.
